Paolo D’Agostino Bowe's home resides in Surrey, inhabited by him, his partner and their cat. By day he works in a restaurant come bar but his true passion lies in interior design. Two years ago, this January 2020, all boxes were ticked on Paolo’s hunt for the perfect property and without hesitation they moved right in. High ceilings, large bay windows, an outside space for summer evenings and two floors to offer space, are all encapsulated in this bright and bold statement home.
Blocking colours across the two storeys is what makes this Edwardian abode so striking. Whilst dulling tones - to ease the eyes a little - the pallets that line the walls are calming and offer a pleasant mix of deep rich and pastels. With an eclectic mix of patterns, textures and decorative objects, you can see that inspiration is collected everywhere Paolo goes, which makes for an interesting visual tour.
Keeping original fixtures, such as their period fireplaces, but adding a new lick of paint gives a refreshing modern twist to their personal sanctuary. Paolo and his partner love how their home is in constant evolution, they’re brave and willing to try new things even if they go against the traditional ‘design rules’.
“At the end of the day it’s our house and we love every bit of it” - Paolo
