'New Boho' aesthetic

West Sussex girl, Lauren Lewis, has been renovating for around 4 years and is quickly approaching the finish line. Though it’s been a learning curve, with a huge helping of knowledge gained along the way, Lauren has kept one important factor with her throughout: colour palette. Sticking to off-whites and neutral colours as a primary base - with the addition of warming but muted tones and textures when introducing home furnishings - their ‘new boho’ style remains consistent and prominent in every room in the house, encapsulating a nod to traditional boho with a new minimalistic twist. Knocking on Pinterest’s door for inspiration, and the helping hand of beautiful interior/styling accounts on Instagram, Lauren’s flair for pairing earthy accessories with rattan and woven furniture creates a casual yet chic aesthetic one can only lust over! Nothing says boho quite like a bouquet of pampas grass and dried palm leaves with a pop of houseplant greens to make the perfect canvas. Their Herringbone tiles create a detailed and thoroughly thought-out handmade feel to their bathroom, intertwined with a tonal flooring which exudes a nice level of artisan. Finished with brass fixtures and ambient lighting to create a welcomed zen, not forgetting a must have free standing bath for ultimate luxury, it’s no surprise the bathroom is their most favoured room in the house. Though, hard to compete with their Marcel Breuer inspired woven cane cantilever dining chairs and mid-century modern table, satisfying a 70s lover’s fix. Simple elegance is definitely top of the list, here, and they’ve certainly created a soothing oasis fit for a well deserved rest.
