“A Modern Home”

“Our intention behind this project was to bring together a collection of beautiful pieces made by independent designers to celebrate their craft, creativity and vision. These bespoke pieces have had an abundance of time and energy put into each and every one of them which you don't see so much in today's consumer culture.”
In this sensuous photo series Photographer Charlie Goodge and Interior Stylist Jessica Jung contrast modern design with the backdrop of a Medieval cottage residing in Norfolk. The artful and contemporary decorative pieces, lining the framework, contrast with their olden surroundings; creating a juxtaposition between design, space and time. Featuring the likes of Ornamental Grace; East of Eden; TMPL Studio; Squarepaint - and more - the pair brought their own style to the series whilst their key priority remained to champion unique independent makers.
The result is a visual dialogue communicating the relationship between contemporary vs historic, old vs new. Benefitting from low lighting and shadows, the photographs allow the organic structural elements of the interior to shine through - in all of its barefaced glory - representing a snapshot of the building’s original character and charm. With a playfulness towards texture and shape, light and shade, Charlie and Jessica have captured the delicate and muted qualities of an interior led aspirational home.
